Decorria o ano de 1977 quando os Cheap Trick lançaram o album In Color, muito embora a versão mais famosa do seu maior sucesso - I Want You to Want Me - só se ter tornado número um mundial em 1979, sendo o seu single mais vendido, atingindo a categoria de disco de ouro com a versão ao vivo gravada no Nippon Budokan em abril de 1978, o album mais popular do grupo.
Escrita por Rick Nielsen. foi alvo de variadas covers, como as de Chris Isaak ou de Lindsay Lohan.
